USE CASE · FRAGRANCE

Every bottle carries a code only you can issue.

Shoppers scan the box to read about the scent in their hands. You see where every batch turns up, and the scans that don’t add up.

THE PROBLEM

What gets in the way

  • Grey-market boxes

Stock meant for one market turns up in another, batch code scratched off.

  • Look-alike bottles

A copied box looks right in a marketplace photo. A printed number can’t say otherwise.

  • Questions at the counter

Shoppers want the notes and the ingredients before they buy.

THREE STEPS

How it works

  1. A perfume carton laid flat, with a small code printed beside the batch number.SPECIMENBATCH B-261109/2026 · GRASSEHALDEN & RUECèdre BlancEau de Parfum · 50 mlBATCHCODE

    01 · PRINT

    On the box.

A signed code goes next to your batch number. Your printer, your artwork.

  2. A phone after a scan: the code verified, then the fragrance’s page with its name, notes and ingredients.HALDEN & RUECèdre BlancEau de Parfum · 50 mlCode verifiedHALDEN & RUECèdre BlancEau de Parfum · 50 mlNOTESTOPHEARTBASEINGREDIENTSlumilios.com/verify

    02 · SCAN

    In their hands.

Any phone camera opens your page: notes, concentration, the full ingredient list. No app.

  3. A map of scans for one batch, with one city outside the brand’s markets marked for review.BATCH B-2611MARKETSSCANREVIEW

    03 · SEE

    On your side.

Every scan lands on your dashboard by batch and city. Scans outside your markets are flagged for review.

REGULATION NOTE

On labelling

Regulation (EU) 2023/1545 adds more fragrance allergens to the label. Your label still does that job; the product page gives the full story room.

FAQ

Asked before you asked.

01Can a QR code show a perfume is genuine?

It shows the code is one you issued and where it’s been scanned. It can’t test what’s in the bottle, so a code that turns up in odd places is flagged for you to look into.

02Can someone copy the code?

They can photocopy a printed code, but they can’t make new valid ones. A copy shows up as a pattern, like one code scanned in two countries within an hour, and is flagged for review.

03How do we spot grey-market stock?

Set the countries each product is meant for. When a batch is scanned outside them, the scan is flagged on your diversion dashboard with the batch and city.

04Does it work with our boxes and printing?

Yes. The code prints with your usual artwork, where your batch number already sits. You download print-ready files per batch.

05Do shoppers need an app?

No. The phone camera opens a web page in your colours.

06Can customers register their bottle?

Yes, when ownership is on for your account. A shopper saves the bottle as theirs, and you see when it changes hands.

The code goes on the label you already print.

No new packaging and no app for your customers. Request access and you get 30 days with every feature included.
