No. They scan the seal with the phone camera they already have, and the result opens in their browser. If the camera struggles, they can type the short backup code printed beside it.
No. The code goes where a barcode or batch number would: a label, a cap, a box flap, a hangtag. If you already print GS1 barcodes, a GS1 Digital Link code can take over that job too.
A photocopy of a genuine code will still verify. We don’t guess authenticity from how many times a code was scanned, because honest garments get scanned twice too. Instead, you see where every scan happens, grey-market reports point you to the places that look wrong, and alert rules flag them the moment they show up.
An amber screen headed “A notice from the brand”, with your instructions. It doesn’t use red and doesn’t mention fraud, because the product is genuine. It’s just not one you want them using.
You rotate it. Units already on shelves keep verifying under the new key, so nothing gets reprinted and nothing gets pulled.
